The logistics industry has presented the UAE with an opportunity to leverage its economy and enable global competitiveness. It has become the fastest-growing sector, surpassing other major (non-oil) industries in the UAE. The pandemic has also increased the scope for logistics and it has emerged as an industry with immense capability to scale.

The strategic location of the UAE has facilitated seamless logistics across the Emirates. It has established connectivity between the East and the West, making it an ideal hub for global logistics. Despite being a dynamic economy, the UAE has displayed resilient growth, thanks to its non-bureaucratic government that’s responsible for developing the transportation landscape. The UAE is currently the nerve center of progressive economies of Asia, Africa, and Europe, and its impact on global logistics is reflected in several international surveys and indexes. Take a look at where the UAE stands in global performance indexes.

The UAE has been ranked 11th on the Logistics Performance Index, according to the World Bank report 2021, measured by the Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure.
