UAE first New digital freight forwarding platform introduces transparency, operational efficiencies in Shipping & the logistics sector

in5, an integrated innovation platform, launched by TECOM which is a part of DUBAI HOLDING, has selected logistics start-up, Qafila, into its incubation programme. Qafila is a digital age logistics company designed keeping in mind enhanced customer experience, offering exceptional operational efficiencies and round the clock customer support.

Atif Rafiq, CEO and CO-founder at Qafila, said, “Logistics & Transportation in GCC is growing from $50 billion to $100 billion by 2020 but the industry is very inefficient when it comes to processes within shipping and logistics. I believe a platform like ours can bring the industry into the digital age through transparent and efficient processes for operators across the region.

Atif Rafiq, CEO and CO-founder at Qafila, said, “Logistics & Transportation in GCC is growing from $50 billion to $100 billion by 2020

Jithin Manoharan, Co-founder at Qafia, said, “we are very pleased and excited to have been selected by In5 as part of its incubation programme. This will give us the opportunity and the space to create the platform that we have envisaged.”

It is currently offering logistics support for FCL (Full Container Load) by the ocean with plans to offer air shipments and LCL (Less Container Load) by March 2019.

Users will experience best in class operational efficiencies through the platform which will save them not only time but costs in man-hours through a very transparent process.

Rafiq continued, we are proudly from UAE, a country which is at the edge of digital transformation in the Middle East and where its government is pushing for smart initiatives like paperless, Blockchain, AI, Smart pay and many more for Expo2020. To be part of this evolving country and the startup ecosystems, where you can take your startup from idea to execution within a week or so, gives you a huge advantage as a startup and for that we are glad to be here in the United Arab Emirates.
